Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress, is known for her performance in films and on television since the mid 1980s. She has received various honors, including two Golden Globe Awards, and sixteen NAACP Image Award. In the last decade, Angela Evelyn has worked in television and film. She's received numerous awards including 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was born in New York New York and raised by an aunt in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett moved with her sister to St. Petersburg Florida at the age of five to be near their mother, who was separated from their dad. Bassett chose to become an actor after watching the production Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. She went to Yale University New Haven Connecticut receiving a bachelor's degree (1980) with a major in African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale, and in 1997 they tied the knot. Qualification: B.A. degree in African-American studies in 1980. Graduate in Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett has been cast in one the leading roles of Ramonda for the action film, i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
